I most definitely did not need anymore eyeshadow palettes but after reading Charlotte's post - i found myself browsing the Zoeva Palettes on Beauty Bay, and before i knew it En Taupe and Cocoa Blend were on the way to me.
I've heard many good things about Zoeva but i actually had no idea that they did so many eyeshadow palettes, i'd heard of Cocoa Blend but not about the others. I already knew that i want to buy En Taupe as Charlotte's post really sold it to me but it took me a little bit of deliberating over the others. I had eyed up Cocoa Blend in the past which is why i ended up with this in the end, but there are so many gorgeous palettes and shades, that it's going to be difficult to trying not to order anymore.
Each of the palettes are £18 which is such a good price, i don't know if this is they actual price or whether it's discounted because they are from beauty bay but either way i think it's a great price and id happily pay that again for them.
|Hour By Hour, Wrapped in Silk, Outline, Exquisite|
I instantly knew i wanted En Taupe by Zoeva as it's full of beautiful neutral shades - some of them do have a purple/silver tone to them but they are so beautiful. Whenever i get a new eyeshadow palette, i always like to find tutorials of how other people have worn them and this time i decided to try one of them out and not to blow my own trumpet, it looked so good. I paired it with some liner and false lashes and i absolutely loved how it turned out.
The shadows are so pigmented and they blend together beautifully. As you can see from the photos one of the shades 'Spun Pearl' didn't travel so well and arrived all smashed up - i was a bit gutted, but after emailing beauty bay they offered me the option of exchanging it or keeping it and getting a 25% refund on it. In the end i decided to keep the palette and take the partial refund - mostly out of laziness but thankfully, Spun Pearl isn't really a shade i'd use much of anyways and im sure i have one similar in my many other palettes if needed.
I'm absolutely made up with this palette; i love all the shades, like there isn't one eyeshadow i wouldn't used. Ive only swatched a few of my favourite shades (im the worst at swatch photos) to give you an idea of what they're like.
|Sweeter End, Warm Notes, Subtle Blend, Delicate Acidity, Beans Are White|
Admittedly, i've not used Cocoa Blend by Zoeva quite as much as En Taupe but i do love it just as much. I feel like the tones in this palette will be perfect for the Autumn time as it's full of coppers, golds and purples - it has quite a unique range of shades but they really go and work well together.
The shadows are beautiful, they're pigmented and blend out smoothly. The only shade that lets the palette down is probably 'Beans are White' as it is a little chalky but with a little bit of effort, it's nothing that can't be worked with.
I'm so obsessed with these palettes, it's unreal. I just think they're beautiful and the packaging as well it just stunning - especially on the Cocoa Blend palette, it has a very luxury, aztec feel to it and i can't believe that they're only £18 each. I know that might seem like a lot of money to some people but if you are looking to treat yourself to a new eyeshadow palette, i'd honestly recommend checking out Zoeva. I'm already eyeing up Rose Golden and Naturally Yours.
Have you tried any of the eyeshadow palettes from Zoeva?
