NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Copenhagen

NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Copenhagen

Quite a while ago, i saw an image on Pinterest of what i can only describe as the most beautiful lip colour and that was the NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Copenhagen, i've been pining for this lip product for the longest time but it was constantly sold out online. Now that Boots have been getting more and more NYX Stands, i finally managed to get my hands on it.

Copenhagen is such a beautiful colour - i have to admit, it's not quite the same shade as the one in the image i saw all those years ago but it's still just as stunning. It's rich berry-plum shade with a matte finish and it is absolutely gorgeous. It takes a little bit of effort to build up the shade as they apply in quite thin layers- it can be tedious but i quite like that you have control of the application.

It has the most delightful sweet, almost marshmellow like scent - it is so lovely, it almost reminds me of cake. It has pretty good staying power, it stays in place for a good few hours before needed a top up however, it doesn't last quite as long when eating and drinking, i discovered that the first time i wore it and went out for tea - thankfully it doesn't smudge everywhere but i'd definitely recommend taking the product with you to top up, if you do plan on eating/drinking whilst wearing it.

It applies really smoothly onto the lips, it doesnt bleed and it feels so moisturising on that you wouldn't think it was a matte lip product. It feels so pleasant to wear, they retail for £5.50 which i think it a really good and affordable price.

I'm a little bit obsessed with these berry/plum shades and im so happy to finally have Copenhagen in my collection. It's so beautiful and i love the vampy feel and look it gives to my make up.

Have you tried any of the NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams, what's your favourite shade?

  3. This is a really pretty shade. I have Stockholm and Prague and I find that they don't last any longer than an hour or so on the lips so I always have to make sure I take them with me wherever I go! x

    1. I've not tried any of the other shades yet but i think that the dark ones seem to last longer because they stain the lips a bit.
Who knows, i always take mine with me too.
