I have another Nyx Soft Matte Lip Cream to share with you today, this time it's in the shade Transylvania. Ideally, i should have mixed this in with my previous Nyx Soft Matte Lip Cream review but i decided to split them up and write about them individually.
Transylvania is a very deep violet, plum shade and i think it has been named quite aptly because it has a very vampy look to it. It's such a gorgeous colour and it's such a bold shade. I feel like this is going to be the perfect lip colour for Autumn/Winter. It's a lovely lip product and it has a similar staying power to the others - it lasts a few hours before needing a top up but it fades a lot quicker with food and drink.
I don't know about the others but compared to Copenhagen, Transylvania is pretty difficult when it comes to applying. It applies quite patchy and uneven and it sometimes settles into any fine lines too - which as I'm sure you can imagine is a very pretty look. This isn't a lip product you can just whack on and go, it requires a bit of effort to make it wearable but i wear a lip liner underneath to give it a base and by applying a couple of layers and blotting in between you can achieve a lovely even, matte finish. It is a lot of effort, i know but depending on the occasion it is worth it - you just have to make sure to top it up frequently throughout otherwise it will fade out.
These are really lovely lip products, they're creamy and smell amazing and i believe the majority of them do have lovely formula's however, i feel like Transylvania is a hit or miss product. Personally, i will use this (not often) but despite the effort it requires, i just love the shade of it too much.
Have you tried the Nyx Soft Matte Lip Cream in Transylvania?
