10 Happy Things | July

10 Happy Things | July

I was getting a bit bored of my monthly favourites format and decided to switch it up, i thought i was really creative and original by coming up with the '10 Happy Things' series, but after catching up with Charlotte's blog Colours and Carousel - i realised i had subconciously stolen her idea. So i hope she doesn't mind if i start a similar series myself.

10 Happy Things | July

These posts are going to work in a very similar way to my monthly favourites in that i share things that i've loved in the month but now, each month im going to select 10 things that have made me happy and it can be absolutely anything at all.

1. Sleek Solstice Highlighter Palette
This highlighter palette has become a firm favourite in my make up collection; these highlighters are just gorgeous and i love the glow you can achieve from this palette - i think i might love it more than my Mary Lou Manizer.

2. BBQ
It's becoming a little tradition that one of my friends hosts a BBQ each July and this year's was just as lovely as the last. The weather wasn't perfect but it didn't rain as much as expected and it was just really nice for most of us to get together, have a few drinks and just have a good time.

3. Gilmore Girls
I started rewatching Gilmore Girls series this month in preparation for when they release the new ones. I really like this show as it's so light hearted and such a easy to watch series, im already up to Season Four!

4. Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes Mascara
It's been ages since a good mascara blew me away and finally, one has. It holds a curl, adds volume and seperates each lash beautifully. It gives me the most beautiful and long lashes and i just adore this mascara.

5. SW - 1 and 1/2 Stone Award
I got my 1 and 1/2 Stone Award in Slimming World; it was very unexpected and i'm so proud of myself, i've never been someone whose been able to lose weight because i lacked willpower so reach that milestone was a very proud moment for me.

6. Me Before You - the Movie.
It's no secret how much i adore the book of this and i'd recommend it to everyone as it's honestly one of the best books i have ever read. I'm always quite sceptical when a book gets turned into a movie but i have to say i was so impressed with Me Before You. I think they did a amazing job of bringing the book to life and it was such a beautiful film - it's safe to say, i sobbed.

7. Snapchat - Bee Filter
I love snapchat in general anyways but the voice changing bee filter they have recently introduced is amazing. Me and my friend send each other so many videos with that filter and they're hilarious.

8. Maybelline Fit Me Matte and Poreless Foundation
I'm really loving this foundation at the moment, it's a really light formula and it gives you a really lovely natural and matte finish. It not a very high coverage foundation but it's enough for me and the light formula is perfect for these horrible muggy days we've been having.

9. Allie's Illustration
Allie recently offered to do some illustrations on her Twitter and she very kindly drew one of myself and i'm absolutely made up with it. I'd highly recommend her if you're looking for any illustrations to be done, i recieved mine so quickly and i'm so happy with it. Check out her blog page here.

10. Car Boot Sales
As i've had a few more Sundays off than usual and i've not been busy on the Saturday night, i've been going to my local car boot sale. I've not had massively successful trips but it's made me realise how much i miss going and how much i miss posting my thrifting/car boot sale hauls so im going to do my best to start going round charity shops more, as it's amazing some of the things that you can find.
