I had absolutely no intention of buying the Maybelline Fit Me Matte & Poreless Foundation foundation, i wasn't particularly pining for it but during my lunch hour at work i went for a wonder in Savers Health and Beauty to get a drink, saw it was on offer for £3.98 and found myself buying it. I've been testing it out for a couple of weeks now and decided to share my thoughts with you.
I picked mine up in shade 105 Natural Ivory; i didn't know if this was going to be too light because i use 110 in the original Fit Me Foundation but i couldn't find a 110 so i decided to risk it. Luckily the shade actually matches my skin pretty well.
The formula is a lot more runny that i expected, most of my matte foundations tend to have a thicker consistency but this is actually quite thin and light which i was really surprised at. I love a light foundation because i hate being able to feel it on my skin, i want it to look natural and for my skin to be able to breathe and this foundation does that.
I'd say the coverage is light almost medium but it's enough coverage for me. I find it covers everything that i need it too and anything else can be covered with a concealer. For me, i've found using a make up sponge or a beauty blender the best way to apply this foundation, as that's given me the best results. It blends out really nicely and gives you a lovely natural and matte finish.
The thing i tend to dislike most about matte foundations is that they can look quite dry on the skin but i've not had this problem with this foundation. Everytime i've used this it's left the skin looking really nice. It's doesn't look dry at all, in fact it's quite the opposite - it leaves my skin matte, natural and flawless.
The lasting power is pretty good - If you know you're going to be out early til really late than this might not be the one for you as it will need sprucing up at some point during that time but for general day to day use, it lasts pretty well. I'm really happy with foundation and im glad i picked it up that day, even if it was because an impulse buy because of the price.
What do you think? Have you tried the Maybelline Fit Me Matte & Poreless Foundation yet?
