I'm sure you've already seen this Sleek Solstice Highlighter Palette featured a lot in the bloggosphere, i know i have and i was convinced I'd already found my holy grail highlighter in The Balm Mary Lou Manizer and did the best i could to convince myself that i didn't need this palette. All was going well until Sleek was on 2 for £10 in Superdrug recently and i just couldn't resist picking the palette up for myself.
The first time i tried this palette; i had high expectations because so many people rave about it and I've not read a negative review on it yet and i have to say it did not disappoint. It was even better than i expected if that's even possible. I love highlighter and this just gives you the nicest glow to the skin.
It comes with four highlighters in total; one cream and three powders so you are most definitely spoilt for choice:
Ecliptic: the only cream highlighter in the palette and is a lovely pearlescent pink highlighter, I've used this the least out of the four just because i prefer powder highlighters but this is still a really beautiful product.
Hemisphere: this is unlike any highlighter i own as it's baked purple toned highlighter, you'd think this would look quite bizarre but it's so pretty and this may be one of my favourites out of the whole palette.
Subsolar: a golden almost yellow toned highlighter, this is a fairly similar shade to the Mary Lou Manizer with that yellow/golden tone.
Equinox: a baked peachy toned highlighter and this is just as beautiful as the others, i feel like this would be perfect when you have a bit of tan as the peachy tones would compliment it so much.
The palette itself is stunning; with it's golden packaging it looks so much more luxurious than the usual high street products, it also has a really big mirror inside which i really like as it's handy to use on the go. The only downside to the golden mirrored casing is that it's a magnet for fingerprints but i do love that Sleek have branched out from the usual solid black packaging.
I adore all these highlighters and i actually wear a combination of them all. I find that i get the best results by layering up all the powders together, you can easily wear them alone but if you're like me and want a full on glow, then layering them together works amazing for that.
This is such a versatile palette and i think it would suit a wide range of skin tones. I was lucky and got it for half the price with the Sleek 2 for £10 deal, it does retail for £10 normally but I'd happily pay that and possibly more for this palette as it is worth every penny. They are such beautiful highlighters and i actually think i might prefer this over my Mary Lou Manizer!
