Review | Inglot Matte Lipstick

Inglot is not easy to get hold of here in the UK, or if it is I've not quite found an easy way to get my hands on it. When my family went away a few months ago, my sister very kindly bought me my very first Inglot product - the Inglot Matte Lipstick in the shade 419.

I was super impressed with my sister because she informed me that she actually did a little research on blogs to find the perfect shade, which is where she came across shade 419 - described as the perfect universal shade that suits everyone.

I have to say i am most impressed with the shade she picked because it is gorgeous. 419 is a deep pink lipstick, it has similar to tones to a fuchsia shade but it's much deeper and has a slight hint of plum to it. It's such beautiful shade and i do agree that this is shade that would most likely suit all skin tones.

As it's a matte formula, it doesn't glide over the lips easily but once on, it actually settles really well and isn't drying at all. I do like to apply a lip balm before i start my make up anyways so whether this helps it settle better i don't know but i do really like this. I've really gotten into my matte lipsticks recently and i feel like they're just much more sophisticated looking. (if that makes any sense)

Review | Inglot Matte Lipstick

The lipstick is very pigmented and lasts for ages and because it has a matte finish it stays on the lips for ages and even when it does start to fade out, it fades down to a nice stain so it requires very little maintenance. The packaging for this lipstick is lovely, it reminds me a lot of the Chanel lipsticks with the black metal feel to the casing. It feels like it has a magnetic closure which makes it very satisfying when closing the lid, it's a very solid casing and it just has a nice luxurious feel to it - the only thing i do wish this lipstick had was a name for the shade instead of a number but I'm sure i can survive without one.

As this was a gift off my sister, i don't know much about the pricing but i really like this lipstick and i feel like this shade is going to be perfect for autumn with a winged liner and a woolly hat - roll on autumn!

Have you tried any products from Inglot?

  1. Fab post, lovely!
I've never heard of Inglot (does that make me a bad beauty blogger?) but like you, I LOVE matte lipsticks right now. They're so much better than normal ones and I find that they last longer too, which is fab!

    1. No, not at all - i can't remember where it's originally from but it's not easy to get a hold of in the UK.
