September | Beauty Favourites

I've decided to return to the old format of my monthly favourites - happy things just wasn't quite working for me. I wanted a way of making it more personal and more of like a life update but then that made it difficult for beauty products to fit in so I've decided that I'm bring the monthly favourites back and I'm also going to do a separate monthly update post. I'm not sure how it's going to work out but we shall see, anyways here are some of the things that I've been loving.

September | Beauty Favourites

Ciate Triple Shot Mascara in Midnight Blue
I made the rookie error of not looking at the shade of this mascara and just assuming it was black. When i realised that it was actually blue, i was gutted i thought it would end up going to waste and tossed aside but i actually love it. I discovered that not only is it a great mascara, it's actually more of a black toned blue - it's only in certain lights can you tell that it's blue. I've been using this as my daytime mascara and it's great - it separates the lashes and adds lots of length too.

Wild About Beauty Eyeshadow Pencil Duo in Annie
This was another purchase from my TK Maxx haul and I've found myself using it a lot this past month. I don't actually use it as a eyeshadow pencil though, Ive been using it more as a eyeliner. The dark matte brown side of the pencil, I've been using it to line my lashes on days that I've wanted something a bit more subtle than my usual black liquid eyeliner and the soft shimmery brown on the other side of the pencil, Ive actually been using this underneath my lower lash line and smudging it out - it's really soft and subtle but it's just added that little something extra to my eye make up.

Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation in Ivory
This was my go to foundation when it first came out, i was obsessed with it - used it up, bought another and then I moved onto a different foundation. It was only recently when my lovely friend Aimee - (fab make up artist, check out her facebook page) - was using it in her snap chats that i decided to try it again and I've fallen back in love with it. It has such great coverage but still allows the skin to breathe, it has a lovely natural finish and it illuminates and brightens up the skin.

Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Black Cherry
I'm in love with this lipstick; it is the perfect autumnal shade. Dark and bold with red, plum and black tones to it. It's so vampy and edgy and makes you feel quite kick ass when you wear it. These shades of lipstick are some of my absolute favourite to wear and I'm so glad to have this in my collection.

Urban Decay Naked Smokey Palette
I think this palette is stunning but since getting it at Christmas, I've not used it half as much as i expected because smokey eyes just aren't my forte - unless you wanna look more like a panda, then i am your gal! However, i decided to look up some tutorials on youtube and get some inspiration and found one i really liked (here) - now i don't know if I'm just completely useless because mine doesn't really look anything like hers does but i do really like the look I've created anyways. I've been using the shade Combust through the crease, Radar all over the lid and I've been adding Smoulder into the outer corner just to darken it up a little bit. It's a lot bolder than my usual neutral combinations and I'm so happy to be making more use of this beautiful palette.

What beauty products have you been loving this month?

  1. lovely selection! I love the Rimmel foundation too. :)

  2. I used to love the Wake Me Up foundation back in the day too! Such a lovely drugstore foundation. You've reminded me I need to dig out my Naked Smokey palette again too :) x

  3. I love the shades of that double-ended, eyeshadow pencil! I haven't tried anything from Wild About Beauty, so I'll have to change that soon!
