As a blogger, there is nothing more rewarding than recieving a package full of goodies to try but i love it that little bit more when you have no idea that the package was even coming. A few days ago, i woke up to a lovely package from Boots filled with some amazing cosmetic products to go along with their #FaceOff Instagram Campaign.
Now the idea behind this campaign is to simply enjoy their products, craete a look your love and share it on instagram with the #FaceOff
For this make up look; i primed my face using the Soap & Glory Kick Ass Super-Blur Inperfections Eraser, it's a bit of a weird product but it leaves me with a really smooth base - i'm still really loving using my Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation in Ivory again, it gives me a really natural and glowing base. I conceal under the eyes using the Bourjous Radiance Reveal Concealer in Ivory, this is a new addition to my collection and so far im really impressed with it.
Whilst i leave my base to settle i move onto my brows, for this look i used the Soap & Glory 2 in 1 Brow Filling Pencil & Brush in Brownie Points*, i have used and loved this before but mine had a felt tip one end rather than the brush but i much prefer this version because i used the pencil the most anyways. It's got a nice and fine tip so it really easy to be precise and really fill in any sparse areas, i then set them in place with the Benefit Ready, Set, Brow.
I'm absolutely in love with the Sleek I-Divine Goodnight Sweetheart Eyeshadow Palette* and im absolutely made up that i got it in this package because it's limited edition too and the range of colours are stunning - perfect for Autumn. I used the shade 'Lingerie' all over my lid, blended 'Romance' into the crease and added a small amount of 'Velvet Wrap' into the outer v just to add a little definition to the eye. I lined my eyes adding a small flick with the Eyeko Skinny Liquid Eyeliner and used the Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes mascara to add length to my lashes.
After the eyes are finished, i go back to my base taking the Seventeen Skin Wow Highlighting Concealer and blended it under the eyes and set my entire base with the Beauty UK Compact Face Powder. I then take the Rimmel Kate Moss Scultping Palette* to contour, add blush and highlight. This is another product that i was really looking forward to try and im really liking it, it's quite subtle but i actually really like that!
I then finished the look off with the Maybelline Vivid Matte Liquid Lipstick in Berry Boost*, i love a bold lip but pink toned lip colours aren't usually my first choice. This has a red berry tone to it and it's a really pretty colour. The smell of this product also reminds me a lot of the Far Away Perfume you can get in Avon. In the package i was also sent the Maybelline Colour Sensational Lipstick in Pink Fling* - it's a gorgeous satin, rosy nude pink and i think this will be a great everyday shade.
So this is how it turned out - i'm also going to be uploading one of these photos to my instagram too, so feel free to follow me over there if you'd like to. I'm really happy with all these products i've recieved and i'm feeling so grateful to have been sent them. I'm not sure how much i suit the Berry Boost liquid lipstick but it's always nice to try something different.
The vast majority of the products i've used are available from Boots apart from about 3 of them (this wasn't actually intentional) so go, create you favourite looks and hashtag them on Instagram - also feel free to leave links to your instagram too, im always looking for new people to follow!
