Sometimes, when you own quite a lot of make up it's quite interesting to have a look through and think which products would you pick, if you could only pick one of them. I love both high end and high street make up but i've decided to make this high end make up only as i thought it'd be quite interesting - i may do a high street edition too.
Foundation: Without a doubt, it would be Chanel Vita Lumiere Aqua Foundation - i adore this foundation and it's one that i will repurchase this for as long as still being sold. It's a really light water based foundation which gives you a really natural finish, it has very light coverage but due the formula it's really easy to build up if you need a little more. It is a expensive foundation but personally, i think it's worth every penny - it has never disappointed me yet.
Concealer: I've only tried one or two high end concealer both of which i've used up and no longer own but despite how good they were i wouldn't pick either of them because i didn't like them enough to repurchase. There are a couple of high end ones i'd like to try though like the Kat Von D Lock It Concealer, Nars Creamy Concealer and also the Mac Pro Longwear Concealer - so who knows, maybe they'll be featured here next time.
Blusher: This was another really easy choice for me; Nars Blush in Sin. I only really wearing during Autumn/Winter time because it's the perfect blush to give you that fresh, winter flush to the cheeks. It's a purple toned pink with a slight shimmer to it, it's a very unique shade but it's so pretty.
Eyeshadow: This was a tough one for me as i there are quite a lot of palette that i really love like all the Urban Decay Naked Paletes but i've decided on my Mac Eyeshadow Quad. This is my fail safe palette and i go back to it time and time again. I customised this palette myself and i love all the shades (Naked Lunch, Patina, Satin Taupe and Mystery) - i'm really happy with this combination because they're very versatile.
Mascara: I don't have it in my collection currently but i would have choosen Benefit They're Real Mascara - i do however, own Benefit Roller Ball Mascara which comes a very close second to it. This one isn't currently open but i adored the mini sample that i had and have used up. It's such a great volumising mascara and the design of the brush works really well at coating all the lashes evenly and separting them - i love the way this makes my lashes look, it's almost like im wearing false ones.
Contour/Bronzer: I completely missed this off the list, so i've not included the product in the picture but it would be the Studio 10 Visible Face Lift Definer - it comes with a contour, blush and highlight but i personally only used the contour in it. Out of every contour product i own this is without a doubt one of the best ones i've used - it's more of a grey toned brown so it looks a lot more natural as a contour.
Brows: I don't own a lot of high end brow products as i've found that high street ones work really well for me but i do have the Benefit Goof Proof Pencil that came free with a magazine and i really like it. It's such a great angled pencil and it makes filling in the brows so easy - i use it to neaten the shade and to fill in sparse areas and it leaves me with neat and natural looking brows.
Highlighter: One of my absolutely favourite make up products is highlighter; i love the glow and it's one step i never miss out. The Balm Mary Lou Manizer is a gorgeous goldtoned highlighter and it's so beautiful. It's one of those products that no matter how much you apply, it never looks too much (well unless you applied it all over your face but that's a different story) This is a very hyped up product in the blogosphere but the hype is well justified.
Lipstick: This is the category that i struggled with the most - i choose my lip colour depending on my mood so i have a lot of favourites that i like to wear but i decided to go with Mac Lipstick in Plumful because it's a shade that i enjoy wearing both during the both day and for nights out and special occasions It's a gorgeous pink/plum shades but because it has a lustre finish is's slightly more sheer which makes it more wearable.
So if you could only have one, which would you pick?
