Let me start this post by first wishing you all a Merry Christmas and i hope you all had a really lovely Christmas, i know it's more or less over with now but I've had a really lovely Christmas and i was very lucky this year and got lots of wonderful gifts - some of which will definitely be featuring here on my blog in the near future.
I had absolutely no intention of going out on Boxing Day but somehow i found myself up early and making my way into town before 10am. I'd browsed the websites the day before so i was on the look out for a few items, most of which i was able to find including some bits there was out of stock online!
So... this week has been crazy busy. If you work in retail too - you'll probably know exactly where I'm coming from, I've had barely any days off this week and I'm not off until the big day itself. Which i why i missed posting on Wednesday and why this is a very simple post too. I'm not the most festive of people but i thought id share with you the few things i do like about Christmas.
I've been having a right mare with my skin lately. I ran out of my face scrub and the cold winter weather attacked, leaving my skin feeling horrible, bumpy and so dry - it honestly felt like sandpaper. So when i discovered that The Body Shop was having a £25 off when you spend £50, i decided to treat myself - i bought myself a lovely selection of products including The Body Shop Seaweed Pore Cleansing Exfoliator.
Today is my blog's official birthday and today 'Youralmostalice' is 5 years old. Can you believe that i have been blogging so long? It's been one heck of a journey and i would never have believed I'd still doing it and still loving it so far down the line. Blogging has brought me so many amazing opportunities and I'm so grateful for the people who find my blog worthy of featuring their products and of course too all the wonderful people who continue to read my blog!
I did this exact same post a few months ago but with High End Products, it was a lot of fun to write and i know that not everyone likes to buy high end products so i thought I'd do a high street version too! I'm really open-minded when it comes to make up i love both luxury and a bargain. Over these past few years, high street make up has really upped it's game so here are some of the products I'd pick if i could only have one!
I've been to a lot of theatre shows over the years; i adore going to the theatre, the atmosphere and seeing everything come to life on stage just makes me so happy. Obviously, there is still a lot of shows that i haven't seen but i thought I'd share with you some of the shows I've really loved and that i think everyone should go see!
Face powder is not a product i really invest in - it's not something i enjoying buying varieties of, i buy one, use it all up and then move onto another. I'm also not one to spend a lot of money on a face powder; all powders more or less do the same thing so i don't really see the point in spending a fortune on something a cheap one can do just as well. However, i had some vouchers to spend for Debenhams and after having a browse on their website i came across the Bare Minerals Invisible Light Translucent Powder Duo and i was so intrigued that i just had to get my hands on it.
This is my easy go to everyday make up, i love wearing make up but most days i do like to opt for something simple that is quick and easy - especially for the days that I'm in work, I'd rather spend the extra minutes in bed rather than spending it on my make up. It's so easy and i can do it in pretty much five minutes.
I've gotten so used to posting on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays that i almost forgot i was blogging every other day in December and i almost missed today's post. Today I'm reviewing the Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat in Pillow Talk.
I feel like November as been really uneventful this month so i don't have a lot to talk about in today's catch up post. I've been quite busy with work now that Christmas is approaching, especially over the weekends - i usually alternate my Sundays but now that were getting busier I'm working them all so I've not really been wanting to go out.
