Face powder is not a product i really invest in - it's not something i enjoying buying varieties of, i buy one, use it all up and then move onto another. I'm also not one to spend a lot of money on a face powder; all powders more or less do the same thing so i don't really see the point in spending a fortune on something a cheap one can do just as well. However, i had some vouchers to spend for Debenhams and after having a browse on their website i came across the Bare Minerals Invisible Light Translucent Powder Duo and i was so intrigued that i just had to get my hands on it.
I've not heard very much about the Bare Minerals Invisible Light Translucent Powder Duo, which is weird because it strikes me as something that a lot people would love as it has a very similar appearance to the Hourglass powders - I've not tried Hourglass so i don't know for sure if it would be a dupe but it does looks similar to their ambient light powders.
I find this powder duo very aesthetically pleasing; the packaging is so simple but it's so pretty and it just looks so much more expensive and luxurious than any powder I've ever owned (probably because it is) - the product itself, is two translucent face powders, one that gives you a glow whilst the other is matte. Both have been designed to finish your complexion and to give a 'effortlessly fresh not flat' look.
I love having the option of both finishes in the same palette. Matte is designed as more of a setting powder, holding your base in place whilst absorbing any oil. Glow on the other hand is infused with rosy pearls to give a glow to the skin and it's also good to use for highlighting or strobing. Each powder has a baked finish to it and they have been designed to suit all skin tones and to blur pores and imperfections without the powder looking visible on the skin.
I've definitely found myself using the matte side a lot more then glow which i never anticipated, i love to highlight and having glowy skin but i really like finish of the matte powder. They're so different to any face powder that I've ever used; i always feel like I've not applied enough product because you can't physically see the product on your face, you just see the results - they really are invisible powders.
The Bare Minerals Invisible Light Translucent Powder Duo retails for £28 which is very expensive for a face powder. Is it worth it? Yes it is, but would i pay that much again? No. I still standby what i said at the start, i will always choose a cheaper face powder, you won't get the exact feel and finish of this product but this is a product i would only buy with vouchers like i did, when i have the option to be a bit more frivolous with what i choose to buy.
Have you tried the Bare Minerals Invisible Light Translucent Powder Duo?
