I did this exact same post a few months ago but with High End Products, it was a lot of fun to write and i know that not everyone likes to buy high end products so i thought I'd do a high street version too! I'm really open-minded when it comes to make up i love both luxury and a bargain. Over these past few years, high street make up has really upped it's game so here are some of the products I'd pick if i could only have one!
Foundation: I wasn't too sure which foundation to pick for this one, normally with these types of post i already have an idea in mind of which product I'd pick but nothing was really jumping out at me. Ive tried quite a few high street foundations but there is only one that I've actually repurchased and that was the Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation so i think this would be the one I'd pick. It's a great foundation, has great coverage and i love the finish of it.
Concealer: This was probably one of the easiest categories which is actually quite surprising because a few months ago i wouldn't have a favourite but I'm obsessed with the Bourjois Radiance Reveal Concealer. It's amazing; it has excellent coverage, blends lovely and it feels so moisturising on the eyes - i honestly think this will be a staple in my collection for as long as I'm able to buy it.
Blusher: I think i wore the Max Factor Creme Puff Blush in Seductive Pink* for the longest time, I'm normally really fickle with blushes and this became my everyday product for months. I stopped using it for a little while whilst i tried some other blushes but since i started planning for this post, I've started using it again and i love it so much. It's such a beautiful blush, it's pink toned but it adds a gorgeous glow to the skin - it gives you such a healthy glow and flush to the cheeks. The Make Up Revolution The Matte Blush in Nude comes in a close second!
Eyeshadow: A lot of my eyeshadows are actually high end and i didn't want to include Colour Pop because whilst they are cheap products, once you add in the cost of shipping and customs they end up more of a high end price but i do rate their eyeshadows very highly - my personal favourite is Tang! I've used Sleek for years, they're so pigmented and such good quality. My most recent addition from them and my favourite is the Sleek Goodnight Sweetheart Palette*, it has the prettiest range of shades; browns, nudes, purples - it's very autumnal themed.
Mascara: I haven't included a mascara in this post because at the moment, I'm using a lot of high end ones - if i did pick one though it would probably be the Max Factor False Lash Effect Mascara*, i really want to repurchase it soon because i loved it so much when i had it. I actually really like most of the Max Factor Mascaras - I'm yet to try one that disappoints.
Contour/Bronzer: For some reason, I've completely missed this out of the photo as well and i don't know why? I'd choose the Freedom Contour Stick; it's a dual ended cream contour and highlighter stick and it works really well for me, it's the perfect shade for me and it blends out really nicely. I've actually nearly used up my current one which i think speaks for itself. I also really love the Rimmel Kate Moss Sculpting Kit!
Brows: I've tried a lot of brow products this past year and the Maybelline Brow Satin has definitely been the one i like the most. It's so easy to use, its really natural and it's quite a creamy pencil so it takes barely any time to fill in the brows. I feel like these haven't had very much attention in the beauty world but i really rate them.
Highlighter: The Sleek Solstice Highlighter Palette is without a doubt the highlighter I'd pick if i could only have one. It's so beautiful; it comes with 1 cream highlighter and 2 powders all of which have great pigmentation and give you such a gorgeous glow. I do also really rate the MUA Undress Me Too Highlighter though.
Lipstick: I always really struggle to choose a favourite lipstick because i own so many and i also choose my lipstick depending on my mood but i have selected two lipsticks i wear a lot - one bold and one a bit more neutral. The Max Factor Marilyn Monroe Lipstick in Cabernet*, this is my go to red lip. It's such a gorgeous wine red shade and this lipstick is so moisturising on the lips and it has such a lovely scent too. The other lip products is the Essence Velvet Matt Stick in Peony Star, this is a lip product i wear most days if i want something a little bit bolder than a nude lip but it's not too bold. It's a mauve pink and it's so pretty on - it doesn't last ages but i like this so much that i honestly don't mind.
So those are the high street make up products I'd choose if i could only pick one! What would you choose?
