Ill hold my hands up and say I'm rather lazy when it comes to skincare; i desire lovely, soft skin but i get bored really easy so i require a routine that is very minimal and requires very little effort. Just before Christmas my skin went really dry, it felt so horrible and almost like sandpaper so i decided to give myself a little kick up the bum and sort out my skincare - now, i a kind of have a basic routine that not only am i sticking to but has restore my skin back to its former smoothness.
Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser
This is hands down one of the best skincare products i have ever used. The hype you constantly hear around it, is 100% worth it. Before this full size came into my life, i had tried two mini samples and it made such a difference to my skin - its one of those products that i can see such a difference in my skin when i don't use it so i was absolutely made up to finally get my hands on the full size for Christmas. I cheat a little bit with this product and i don't use it with a hot cloth cleanser, i just massage it into my face with my hands and it leaves my skin feeling amazing.
The Body Shop Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter
I adore this cleansing butter, i tried it last year (or the year before?) but then never got round to repurchasing it until December and i definitely won't be making that mistake again. I use this mostly to remove my make up; the butter melts into the skin and becomes an oil-like consistency, you then massage this into the skin and it gently removes even the most stubborn of make up - it's so easy to use and requires such little effort. It leaves my skin feel so soft and hydrated.
Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask
I'm a big fan of face mask and i love using all different ones but the one I've been using the most recently, especially during my dry skin disaster is this.. It's one of the best face masks i own, it does feel quite bizarre sleeping in a face mask but it absorbs into the skin really nicely, so don't worry about it transferring onto your pillow - i do like to apply this an hour or so before i intend on going sleep though. My skin always feels so hydrated and refreshed when i wash this off the next morning.
The Body Shop Seaweed Pore Cleansing Exfoliator
I like to use a face scrub at least once a week as i can really tell the difference when i don't use one. It's a soap free, gel based cleanser that has little jojoba beads which helps to deep cleanse and remove any dead skin. It's a really nice and gentle exfoliator, it really makes all the difference to my skin - it leaves it feel really soft and smooth.
