March | Monthly Favourites

March is almost over (how?!) and Spring is finally here. I have a love/hate relationship with Spring - i love that everyone is in a better mood, the sun is shining and flowers are blooming but it also means summer is on its way and i don't love summer. It's warm, it's sweaty and i never know what to wear (first world problems!) Anyways, I feel like this month has been a mix of trying new products and rediscovering some old ones.

Nars Virtual Domination Cheek Palette
I've been using this palette daily since i got it - i love all the products in it but the big standout and the one i use daily is Nars Laguna Bronzer. It's just amazing, i use it to bronze up the face, to contour and I've even used it as eyeshadow to add definition to the crease - it's just so versatile. This has been one of those products that's always been hyped up and I've wanted to try it for years and now i can finally understand why it's so loved. I just adore it and not to mention how stunning is this palette?!

Freedom Brow Pomade
I've had this for quite a while and i liked it but i never quite felt like i was using it properly - my brows have always been something I've never been great at, i could fill them in but they never quite looked as good as everyone else. Until, i saw a video by Talia Mar showing how she achieves her instagram brows so i decided to dig out my brow pomade and try again and it's like something just clicked. That probably sounds weird but i feel like I'm starting to master/ get the hang of doing my brows - they look so much better and fuller then I've ever managed to achieve but yet they still look natural. I may do a post on my brow routine as i use more than just the pomade but this is the product that really makes them easy.

Technic Mega Lash Mascara*
This mascara is ridiculously good - it does have a massive brush so you have to be a little careful because it can hit your eyelids but that aside it is so good, it adds so much length to the lashes and it really separates them out too. I actually prefer this over some high end mascaras I've tried and it is so affordable too.

Rimmel Lasting Finish Foundation
I'm almost at the end of my Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation so i decided to shop my stash and found this - i forgot how much i like this, it is a lot heavier than Rimmel Wake Me Up but it still gives a similar finish it just has a bit more coverage. Along with this foundation; I've rediscovered my love for the Real Techniques Expert Face Brush and they work together so well, the brush buffs the foundation into the skin really nicely and it just gives the most lovely natural and flawless finish to the skin. This foundation does claim to last 25 hours - now i don't wear foundation for that long but it does last pretty well on my face.

Barry M Matte Me Up Liquid Lip Paint in Minimalist and On the Scene
Ironically, in my blog post about the Barry M Matte Me Up Lip Paints i said that you didn't need both Minimalist and On the Scene as they were both pretty similar but I've actually found myself using them both a lot. On the scene is a classic nude where Minimalist is more pink toned. I honestly thought id reach for one over the other but i actually find myself wearing both. Not to mention, the formula of these are really nice - they're creamy, settle on the lips really nice and last ages.

Beauty and the Beast
There was absolutely no way that i couldn't include this in my favourite as it was amazing. I'm so sceptical when it comes to live action Disney movies so i didn't know what to expect - not to mention, everyone hyped up La La Land and i thought it was terrible so i tried not to get carried away with everyone else's excitement. Thankfully, it did not disappoint. It exceeded my expectations and more - it had that same magical and enchanting quality that comes with Disney Films and i think - very bold statement- i might actually prefer this over the original.

Heartless by Marissa Meyer
I've spoke about this on my blog already so I'm not going to say to much expect that i adored this book and if you like Alice in Wonderland you will to. It's the Queen of Hearts pre-story (not an official one) but it's perfect and it fits beautiful, you learn so much about her character and why she ended up the way shes is.
