Not to long ago i mentioned a few products I'd received from Justmylook..co.uk to update my make up bag, one of those was the Milani Conceal & Perfect 2 in 1 Foundation and Concealer* - I'd heard quite a few great things about this foundation so i was beyond excited to try it out.
I was mostly excited to try this out because as well as hearing such good reviews about it, a lot of people said it was a good high coverage foundation - i don't own many high coverage foundations because i always tend to go for a more lighter finish and build on it with concealer but i really wanted to try something that would require little effort and cover most things easily.
Now when they says its a medium to full coverage foundation it was not kidding, it does feel quite heavy on the skin but i think that's mostly because I'm used to a much lighter formula so something as full as this does feel heavy on my skin - if you use heavy coverages most of the time, this probably won't be the case for you. It really does give you a lot of coverage, i didn't need much concealer after using this because it does cover up most blemishes and under eyes.
It has quite a lovely flawless finish and even though it did feel a little heavy on me, it didn't look it. It left my base looking really smooth and almost airbrushed or at least it would have look airbrushed if it wasn't for one thing. Now i really do like this foundation but i do have one problem with it and that is the shades.
I got 02 Natural because that looked like the lightest one (i had to use an image for reference) but it's a bit too dark for me and that ruins it for me. I thought I'd be able to get away with it, if i just really blended it and bronzed my face up a bit but i can just tell to much. If this matched my skin tone better it would honestly be amazing - I'd save it for when I'm tanned but that never happens and i don't use false tan but i have recently discovered that MUA are releasing some lightening drops so i might see how that works with it.
Don't let that put you off though,= as they have now released lighter shades in this foundation - so if the lightening drops fail me, i will be purchasing one in a lighter shade and passing this onto someone else who will benefit from it.
They are a little on the pricey side as on justmylook (where i was sent mine from) it retails for £12.95 but i will happily pay that if the lightening drops fail me as it has really impressed me, it's just the shade that's let me down.
Have you tried the Milani Conceal & Perfect 2 in 1 Foundation and Concealer?
