I'm in a horrendous mood today; i can't really pin point why but i feel like standing on a rooftop and just screaming. At the moment, i feel like im in a bit of a blogging slump - i still want to blog and i want to write but im feeling quite uninspired by it all. I tried to plan content for the next few weeks and i really struggled to come up with ideas. I'm debating whether im needing a break, to revamp my layout or whether to just grin and bear it and hope inspiration hits me at some point along the way.
Anyways..i'm trying this thing where i don't buy make up i don't need and using up more of what i have so i'm going to start shopping my stash more. I did a spring version of this a few weeks ago and i've been thoroughly enjoying using some products that's been sat waiting for me in my drawers. So i decided to delve back in and rediscover some more favourites.
L'Oreal True Match Foundation in Rosy Ivory
I think is actually the old formulation of the L'Oreal True Match because i actually came across this in B&M for about £3 and picked up because i was hearing so many good things about it - a lot of people also said this was a dupe for a the Mac Studio Fix Fluid Foundation which was the very first high end foundation i'd owned and loved so i was intriqued to see what this would be like. I only tried it once or twice and then moved onto something else so i decided it was time to try it out again. I have used it the past couple of days and i do like it, im not sure id id agree on the claim of it being a dupe of the Mac foundation but it's a nice foundation and i'm intriqued to see how we get on over the next few weeks.
Zoeva Cocoa Blend Palette
I adore this palette but i seem to go through phases where i use it for a bit, move on, come back to it, try something else etc... and i recently saw someone mention this and it immediately made me want to get it out and play with it. Again, i've been wearing this for the past few days and i'm obsessed - i've found a combination, i'm really loving wearing because it's not to heavy but it's a really pretty golden/brown/copper combination. I really like Zoeva palettes; they're such great quality and a reasonable price too.
Max Factor Creme Puff Blush*
I was really lucky to receive this from Max Factor in a PR package when they were first released and i was obsessed with this blush - it was my everyday blush for months after receiving it, which is a pretty big honour because im quite fickle with blush this this just gives the most beautiful glow and hint of colour to the cheeks. I don't know what made me stop using this but i'm really looking forward to wearing this again.
Revlon Lip Butter in Tutti Frutti
I've always been a big fan of the Revlon Lip Butters - i love their formulas as they as so moisturising and give a lovely sheer hint of colour. Tuttu Fruitti is a lovely peachy orange shade and i wore this non-stop during one Spring (either last year or the year before that) and im really enjoying my orange, peachy tones at the moment so when this caught my eye in my drawer, i knew it had to make a reappearance in my make up bag.
Essence Sheer & Shine Lipstick in Candy Love
I was really intriqued by these when they were first released - i really like sheer lipsticks, they're the perfect everyday formula so i picked up two shades from this range and just never really got round to wearing them much. I feel like Candy Love will be the perfect everyday shade for Spring because it's a gorgeous sheer glossy pink shade. It won't be very intense but it will give a lovely hint of colour to the lips.
So those are the items i have shopped from my stash, i'm really looking forward to playing around with these product and rediscovering some old favourites over the next few weeks.
