Monthly Favourites | August

Normally, I'd be questioning how we've already reached the end of the month at this point in the post but I'm going to London next month so I'm stupidly excited to finally see September. I can't wait to get away for a few days, eat to my hearts content, shop til i drop and finally, see Les Mis on the West End - i honestly can not wait.

I actually don't have a massive amount of favourites this month; just a few products that I've really been enjoying using this month.

Monthly Favourites | August

Simple Kind to Skin Replenshing Moisturiser
I've used this moisturiser for years even when i stray i always find myself coming back to it. Lately, I've just found myself really enjoying using it, its so hydrating and just leaves my skin feeling really soft and healthy. It's so affordable and i just love how my skin feels after using it.

Nivea Essential Care Lip Balm
I used to use Nivea Lip Balms obsessively back in high school but then i moved onto other brands and never looks back until recently, when i saw someone mention this in their instagram stories and i decided i wanted to try it again and i forgot just how much i loved it. It's so creamy and moisturising and my lips felts so soft and hydrated after using it.

Bare Minerals Translucent Powder Duo
I've had this in my collection for a while but I've only use it a handful of times because I'm quite loyal to face powders so i wanted to use up my current one first but lately, I've just found myself constantly drawn to using this. It comes with two powders; one matte and one glow. I use the matte powder the most, but i really like them both. I tend to use the matte powder under my eyes and in my t-zone and the glow everywhere else and because they're translucent they're don't transfer any colour and it's not really noticeable that you're wearing powder because they're so lightweight.

Buxom Lash Mascara
This is a little bit of a cheat because I've not had it that long but I'm really liking it, i wasn't too sure at first because the wand is huge and it seems to smudge against my eyelid a lot (more my application skills, than the mascara) but I'm getting used to that now but this gives me insanely long and volumised lashes and it separates them really nicely too. I've also been pairing this with the Tarte Opening Act Eyelash Primer and together, they're quite a little dream team.

Gossip Girl
I decided to start re-watching Gossip Girl; it's been years since i last watched it and I've really been enjoying watching it again. It's a very superficial and dramatic world, and It's quite interesting watching it now that I'm a little bit older, but it's been really nice ending my day by losing myself in a few episodes not to mention, have you seen Chuck Bass?

  1. I love the Nivea balm and the Simple moisturiser! They're probably the two things I always go back to after trying out a new product.

I only ever saw series one of Gossip Girl it's definitely a show I want to watch in full though, reminds me of being a teenager!
