Proaura Vitamin C Serum Hyaluronic Acid & Astaxanthin

Proaura Vitamin C Serum Hyaluronic Acid & Astaxanthin

I was very kindly sent a new facial serum - The Proaura Vitamin C Serum Hyaluronic Acid & Astaxanthin* to try out. I've decided i want to do this review a little differently so I'm going to write updates at different points throughout the next few weeks that I'm going to be testing this product and so you can read my thoughts after a few days, a week, 2 weeks etc... So if you want to see how i go on with this serum, keep reading!

Proaura Vitamin C Serum Hyaluronic Acid & Astaxanthin

The Proaura Vitamin C Serum Hyaluronic Acid & Astaxanthin* is a new facial serum that combines Vitamin C and Hyaluronic acid to create a powerful serum that is designed to protect the skin and help stimulate Collagen which helps with reducing fine lines and wrinkles - normally that's not a feature I'm too bothered about but it's definitely something i want to incorporate more into my skincare routine now that i am getting older, so i love that it's anti ageing.

It also claims to help boost the immune system (not quite sure how) and promote healthy skin, whilst the Astaxanthin reduce spots, freckles, and dark eye circles. The serum also brightens up dull, tired complexions and will give your skin its glow back - it does have a lot of claims so I'm very intrigued to see how i get on with it and if it really does everything that it claims then that would be incredible! So let's see how we get on.

One thing i do already love about this skin are product is the packaging; it's a glass bottle with a pipette which i really like, i feel like I'll be able to control the amount of product i use and i just generally really like pipettes.

First Impressions
After cleansing my face, i used 2-3 drops and worked it into my face. I decided to press it into the skin rather than just rubbing it around to really work it into the skin. It felt quite nice to apply, it didn't have a strong scent and after applying it my face did instantly feel soft. I then continued with my skincare and the next day my skin felt really fresh and hydrated. So I'm very intrigued to see how it progresses over the next few weeks.

After 3-4 days...
I'm still liking this facial serum so far - I'm seeing a few differences; my skin feels really smooth, really hydrated and i do feel like it's looking quite healthy. I have had a few spots appear on my chin - now, i don't know if its due to the serum but they're healing quite quickly and nicely too and I'm still applying the serum and it doesn't seem to be affecting them so I'm guessing they're just general spots - i do get them from time to time on my chin. I'm really enjoying this serum so far, i feel like my skin is liking it and it's only a few days into using it.

1 Week Later...
So far, still so good - i haven't had anymore spots so i think I'm right in assuming they weren't caused by this serum. My skin is still feeling really refreshed and healthy. I've mostly been applying this morning and night but there has been a few occasions when I've missed applying it - mostly after a night out (i remove my make up and moisturise but that's it) but even so, i really feel like my skin is enjoying this serum - it feels really healthy, hydrated and plump. I am going to London next week and i won't be taking this with me, so i think it'll be interesting to see how/if my skin copes without it for three days but with it being a glass bottle i don't want to risk transporting it around in case it breaks.

2 Weeks later...
My skin definitely missed using this serum whilst i was away in London, my skin just didn't look as bright or feel as hydrated as it had been. Obviously, travelling around in London especially on the tube, all that dry air is going to suck a lot of the moisture out of your skin but i was really glad to get back using this serum, I can actually feel a difference in my skin when i don't use it. So far I've only been using this for 2 weeks and I'm really liking it so I'm very intrigued to see the results further along the line too.

It's definitely on the pricey side retailing for £35 but i have really enjoying using this serum and it actually gives such good results, at least i can see and feel a difference in my skin. Sadly, with my current budget this is not something I'd be able to repurchase frequently but i honestly would if i had the spare money for it because aside from the odd blemish my skin feels like it's in the best condition it's been in, in a long time and the only thing that's changed is the inclusion of this serum into my skincare routine.
