Urban Decay Troublemaker Mascara

Urban Decay Troublemaker Mascara

Earlier this week, I got home from a rather mundane day and discovered a beautiful shiny package waiting for me and inside was the brand new Urban Decay Troublemaker Mascara* - I honestly can't describe just how much i appreciate that Urban Decay send me such luxury packages, it makes me feel so spoilt and I'm honestly so grateful.

The new Urban Decay Troublemaker Mascara* is said to give 13.7x the lash volume and gives the you those sexy, fluttery and intense black lashes. The formula has been designed to give you perfect lashes every time - volumising, lengthening and separating lashes. Troublemaker delivers lashes that are super fat, super long and sex-proof.

Troublemaker has been created with two different types of black pigments to give the formula a really intense black finish, it's also been infused with hollow silica and ultralight fibres to volumise the lashes without weighing them down. It also has Vitamin E and Panthenol to nourish and condition the lashes and polymers that help the mascara adhere to your lashes meaning it lasts even longer - no flaking, no smearing and no smudging.

Urban Decay have also created the custom brush to have a comb that will separate the lashes and has tiny precision hooks that will grab the lashes to give you an instant lash multiplying effect and the brush fans out the lashes to separate and curl them.

Now, before i delve into reviewing whether the product lives up to it many claims i just want to take a moment to appreciate the packaging - i love it. The casing is double-walled and it has a prismatic finish, it's almost holographic, I've never seen any mascara's like this. This kind of packaging could have quite easily fallen into the trap of being tacky but Urban Decay have smashed it and It looks amazing and luxurious and it feels good quality too.

So in theory, this should be the perfect mascara...

Urban Decay Troublemaker Mascara

I've never tried a mascara from Urban Decay before and if I'm honest, i didn't have high expectations, mostly because I'd seen a video on instagram of someone applying it and it didn't really do much so i wasn't really expecting too much from it. In a way, I'm kind of glad about that because i then went into try it with no expectations.

I've been using this everyday since i got it and i have to say i really like it; it adds volume to the lashes, it really adds length and length that you actually notice. It holds a curl really well too, normally i don't notice much of a difference when it comes to a curl in the lashes but with this mascara i can. I feel like the more and more i use this mascara, the that more i like it.

So far, I've not experienced any flaking or smearing - now, it does smudge on me but this seems to happen with every mascara i use lately, so i think that's more my fault than the mascaras'. I don't know what it is, it's almost like I've lost the ability to apply mascara because literally every one i use, i end up with it all on my eye lid. It cleans off pretty easy though and it's smudging less now that I'm getting to grips with using it.

As for lasting power; it's quite impressive and I've tried it on multiple occasions - general day to day (worn for around 9 hours), shifts in work (6 hours) and on a night out (7/8 hours) and it's still remained more or less just as in tact as i when I've first applied it.

When i first saw that video on instagram, it gave me next to no expectations for this mascara - to be honest, i expected it to be mediocre but it's completely proved me wrong. I really like this mascara; it is a little pricey at £19.50, there are high street alternatives that are just as good and much cheaper but if you fancy treating yourself to something a little more luxury, this mascara is worth checking out.

Will you be picking up the Urban Decay Troublemaker Mascara?
