I Heart Forever by Lindsey Kelk
Lindsey Kelk's books are some of my favourites to read and it was the I Heart Series that made me fall in love with her books so to finally get another instalment made me really happy. I won't go into too much detail as I'd hate to spoil the series for anyone but I Heart Forever is the 7th book in the series and i absolutely loved being back in Angela's world and seeing what all the characters where up to - the story in this book in particular just made me so happy! These books are very much rom com/chick flick style stories but i love that, they're so easy to read and i can't wait to see what happens next in the series.

Everything, Everything by Nicola Yoon
I was really intrigued to read this book as it's that type of story that you can't quite know how it could possibly end and i definitely did not predict the ending of this book - it was such a plot twist, i didn't see it coming at all. Maddy has spent her entire life indoors due to a severe immune disorder and an allergy to the world but then a new boy moves in next door and suddenly, everything is about change. I really enjoyed this book; a lot more than i expected too, it was so interesting to read and i flew through it.

Heartless by Marissa Meyer
I read this book in one day; i could not put it down - all i knew about it was that it was a unofficial story of Catherine Pinkerton who grew up to be the Queen of Hearts in Alice in Wonderland, its the story of what happened to her and how she became the evil queen we all know and this did not disappoint, it was the perfect back story and it explains so much. I loved reading this, it was so gripping and i found myself really rooting for her, even though you knew that it wasn't going to end well and she wasn't going to get her happy ending.

100 Hundred Proposals by Holly Martin
I picked this up because i wanted something cute and easy to read - i don't even remember where i even got this from but i really enjoyed it. Suzie and Harry are best friends who run a company that helps people plan their perfect proposals - Harry pulls a giant PR stunt with the aim to find the perfect proposal for Suzie by proposing to her in all different ways every day for the next 100 days. For Suzie however, all she sees is heartbreak waiting for her as the man she's madly in love with proposes to her everyday. It is quite predictable and cheesy but it was such a feel good read and i thoroughly enjoyed it, i feel like this would have been the perfect beach/pool side book.

Best Books of 2017 & 2018 TBR

Room by Emma Donoghue
Room is told from the perspective of a 5 year old boy, who has spent his entire life in the same room where he is held captive with his mother but he's completely unaware of his situation. His mum has created this whole world in this one room to prevent him from knowing any different. So it's a bit of a shock when he discovers there's a whole other world out there. It took me a little while to get into this book because of the way its written, but once i got used to it - i really enjoyed it. It's unlike any book I've read before and it was such a gripping and interesting read.

The Selection by Keira Cass
I'd read so many mixed reviews about this book that i was really curious to read it for myself and I'm so glad i did because i absolutely loved it. The Selection is the competition of a lifetime, the chance to compete for the affection of Prince Maxon and become a future Princess and his future wife. America's not interested in the slightest but she's encouraged to sign up by her secret lover and to please her mother, then she meets Prince Maxon and she starts to question her plans and what she thought she wanted. It had me gripped from start to finish and even though it is a little cheesy, i loved the story and i still need to get my hands on the rest of the series to find out what happens next.

The White Rabbit Chronicles by Gena Showalter
This is actually a trilogy but i loved the entire series so I'm just counting it as one - despite the individual book titles this has absolutely nothing to do with Alice in Wonderland. Alice has spent her entire life believing her Father was paranoid and crazy over his obsession with monsters, Alice soon discovers how real they are when a terrible car accident takes her family. To avenge her family, she must learn to fight the undead. I'm not usually into zombie themed books but i really enjoyed this series, each book just got better and better and it had me gripped from start to finish.

Unrequited Alice by Sarah Louise Smith
Another cheesy book that i absolutely love is Unrequited Alice - as you an probably sense, i love cheesy chick flick style books, I'm a sucker for them and this one was no exception. Alice is head over heels in love with Ed, but in one months time Ed will be getting married to Alice's best friend Hannah. She knows she needs to fall out of love with him but she just can't help herself, then she meets Toby who offers to help her move on. It is very predictable but i didn't care, i couldn't help but be engrossed in this story - it was so easy to read and i loved the story.

2018 TBR
There's a lot of books i really want to bury my nose into during 2018 but my main focus is to read through the box of books and the ones on my kindle that i already own - i say this every year but these are the 10 books I'm hoping to have read by the end of the year.
