As I'm now trying to be more selective in the make up i buy and use more of what i already own, I've decided to scrap my monthly favourites posts for the time being. Instead, I'm just going to do a post every now and again sharing with you the products I'm currently using and loving.

Rimmel Lasting Finish 25 Hour Breathable Foundation in Ivory
I'm a big fan of Rimmel Foundations and my personal favourites to buy on the high street. Their latest release of the Lasting Finish 25 Hour Breathable Foundation is no exception, i liked their original Lasting Finish foundation but it was a bit heavy so the concept of a lighter, breathable version was something i could get on board with. It has a giant doufat applicator which i really like because i find it minimises wastage. It does have a lighter coverage but it blends out really nicely and has a lovely smooth finish. For me, this is a little dark on me (Ivory's normally the shade i go for in Rimmel) so i don't know if it's just generally a bit darker or if it oxidises but I've actually been mixing it with The Ordinary Serum Foundation and together they work really well - it lightens the Rimmel foundation whilst adding a tiny bit more coverage and together they just gives me a really nice natural finish.

The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid
I really like using Hyaluronic Acid within my skincare routine, especially during the winter because it really helps to keep the skin nice and hydrated. I'll be honest when i first tried The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid, i was a bit underwhelmed and i didn't get the same results I've previously gotten when using Hyaluronic acids before but I decided to keep with it because whilst it is affordable i didn't want to just waste the money id already spent on it. The more and more i used this on my skin, the more i noticed a difference and the more i love - my skin feels so much healthier, hydrated and smooth. I use this day and night and if there's a day where i don't use it, i can really feel the difference in my skin. The only thing that annoys me a little bit is that it doesn't last too long - I've gone through my first bottle so quickly and I've already had to repurchase another one, luckily it is really affordable and my skin is loving this at the moment.

Kiko Gossamer Emotion Creamy Lipstick in 131 Tea Rose
My sister got me this lipstick as one of advent presents (we create our own advent calendars) and I'm obsessed with this. The packaging is stunning, its luxurious and so satisfying to open, it's a creamy matte finish and the shade Tea Rose is a gorgeous nudey brown pink (think Mac Mehr) and it's become my go to lipstick. Even on nights out when i normally only wear bold reds and purple shade, I've found myself reaching for this. It's just so easy to wear, it's so comfortable and it lasts really well too.

Mac Pro Longwear Concealer in NW15
I've reviewed this pretty recently so I'll keep this to a minimum but I'm really happy i finally got this concealer. Its very high coverage and a little bit goes a very long way, i wear this mostly on nights out because it covers everything i need it too and because I've chosen a lighter shade it brightens up under my eyes too. It's very creamy, blends nicely (i use a beauty blender) and I've not experienced any creasing with it either, i do set it in place with powder but it lasts pretty well on me.

Marc Jacobs Highliner Gel Matte Eye Crayon in Pink of Me*
I was gifted this eyeliner from Influenster and i genuinely do wish it was a brown or black shade but I've been applying Pink of Me on my waterline and it really brightens and opens up my eyes. Its a little harsher than using a nude toned shade but the pink tone makes it less intense than white. It's so pigmented and really creamy, it literally just glides along the eye and my favourite thing about this is the staying power, it lasts ages on me, most liners I've tried on my waterline fade and smudge so quickly but I've not experienced that with this - it does eventually fade down but it lasts longer than any other eyeliner that I've tried.

New Look Brush on Brows Fibre Gel in Dark Brown
I bought this on a complete whim because i needed to buy something for £5 to qualify for click and collect on New Look and decided to give this Brow Fibre Gel a go. I've been using this more or less daily since i got it, it's very similar to Benefit's Gimme Brow but i personally prefer this one. It adds pigment and colour to the brows but it's not to heavy, it's so easy to create a natural full looking brow with very minimal effort and because it's a gel it sets everything in place too. I've not noticed too much about the 'fibre' aspect of it but i do think it makes the brows look a little thicker, i don't know if that's just because of the colour it adds though but for £4.99, I'm pretty impressed with it and i really like using it.

Make Up Revolution Fortune Favours the Brave Eyeshadow Palette
I was very late to the bandwagon with this eyeshadow palette but I'm so glad i finally have it now - it's such a diverse palette and has such a wide range of shades and finishes. The variety of eye looks you could create with this are endless - they eye shadows themselves are really good quality, they're pigmented and so easy to use and blend.

Make Up Revolution X SophDoesNails Eyeshadow Palette
When I'm not using the Fortune Favours the Brave palette, I've been reaching for Sophie's palette - similar to the other palette it a a really good selection of colours, it's so versatile and you can easily create so many different eye looks with it. There is a good combination of both matte and shimmer shades - i will say the matte shades in this are amazing, they're so pigmented and easy to use, the shimmers are still really lovely but some don't quite pack the same punch that you expect a shimmer to do but i still really like them nonetheless and if you use a little setting spray when you apply them, it makes them a lot more intense. They're pretty buttery eye shadows and blend together really beautifully, it's a really great palette and I'm loving experimenting with the different shades in it.

Kiko Tea Rose | Marc Jacobs Pink of Me Highliner | The Balm Mary Lou | Nudes3 Metallic Pigment

Academy of Colour Nudes3 Metallic Pigment
I don't normally reach for pigments all that often because I'm so clumsy and i end up making a mess but this Metallic Pigment from Academy of Colour is stunning. It's a proper golden shade with coppery tones and it's so beautiful, i love wearing the centre of my lid to add a pop of colour and shimmer to an eye look. The packaging is well compact so no accidents have happened so far, in fact it takes a little elbow grease to get the pigment out but i love using this. It takes so little effort to build up the colour and it just looks beautiful on the lid.

The Balm Mary Lou Manizer AKA The Luminizer
This highlighter is no stranger to my blog and since adding it to my project pan that i blogged about at the start of the year, I've been using it a lot more and i find that the more i use this the more i bloody love it. It's just such a gorgeous highlighter - it's so easy to apply and get that gorgeous healthy glow, i personally like to layer and build mine up to be a bit more intense but that's my personal preference. I love the way this looks on and i honestly don't have a single bad word against this highlighter.
