Netflix #2 | What I've Been Watching

Netflix #2 | What I've Been Watching

I didn't think I'd get through that much on Netflix as I've spent a lot of my time binge watching the same TV show but looking at the list I've kept I've actually watched quite a bit.

Grimm | 6 Seasons
This is what I've spent most of my time watch - Grimm follows Detective Nick Burkhardt who discovers that he is a descendant of a long line of warriors known as Grimms. He defends his city from magical creatures known as Wesen, which are part human and part animal. If you like TV shows like Once Upon a Time or Supernatural it's almost like a mixture of the two, i quite enjoyed it and i really liked the characters. Sometimes, the format could get a little repetitive but i still found that most episodes really captured my attention and for the most part i really enjoyed it..

You Got Served
This was a rewatch for me; i loved this film when it first came out but i don't think it got all that much attention. It's a bout a street dance crew that are constantly taking part in dance battles and are challenge by a rich boy from Orange County to compete for $5000 - it follows the generic story that dance movies usually take, but it's a good film and the dancing is great too.

Dance Academy: The Comeback
I loved the Dance Academy TV Show so when i noticed they'd done a film too, i was so intrigued to watch it and catch up with all the different characters. It wasn't the greatest film and there was some bits that made me cringe, the main character is a little bit annoying but it was an okay watch. As i said it was nice to see where the main characters ended up but if were being completely honest, it wasn't needed

The Intern
I think this might be my favourite thing I've watched this month - it follows Ben who becomes a senior intern at an online fashion retailer, Ben soon becomes very popular amongst his younger workers including the founder Jules. I'd been meaning to watch this film for ages but just never got round to it - I'm so glad i finally did though, because it was just such a cute and heartwarming film. It made such a change from the usual romance style plots that often come in these type of movies that it was refreshing to see the focus be a friendship instead. If there's only one thing i recommend watching this month it would be this one.

Ibiza
This film was pretty dire. It follows Harper a New Yorker on a business trip to Barcelona with her friends; who lets loose, falls for a DJ and then follows him to Ibiza - I'd read a few people say they thought it was funny which is why i decided to give it a go but to be honest, i feel like it just tried to hard to be funny and instead i just found it a bit embarrassing and cringe-worthy.

Ghostbusters: Answer the Call
This was a random pick, i was getting ready to go out and didn't want to spend ages choosing something to watch so just randomly selected this. This is a remake of the original film but instead the Ghostbusters are females - i love that they swapped the gender roles but it wasn't the greatest film to be honest, again i felt like it was just trying to hard to be funny and it wasn't.

Set It Up
This was quite a cute film; Two overworked assistants come up with a plan to get their bosses off their backs by setting them up with each other, the story was pretty predictable. It was one of those films that i found myself smiling throughout it even though you knew exactly what was going to happen, i really enjoyed it.

What have you been watching recently?
