Netflix #4 | What I've Been Watching

Netflix #4 | What I've Been Watching

After my last Netflix post; i found myself barely watching Netflix - i was prioritising other things and just not really making the time for it. However, since the late nights have crept in and it's getting colder there is nothing i enjoy more than snuggling up in bed with a cuppa and finding various things to watch on Netflix. At the moment, I'm particular loving the influx of festive films that's on there.

Life Happens
This was a bit of a weird film, it follows two best friends Kim and Deena who try to maintain a normal life after Kim ends up pregnant and has a baby. It's was an alright film, a party girl struggling to accept that she has to make sacrifices and different choices whilst her friends get on with their lives as they was before. It was easy to watch but at the same time, your not missing out if you never watch it.

Chilling Adventures of Sabrina | Season 1
I loved this. I was a massive fan of the original Sabrina so i was really curious to hear that they was remaking it and even more intrigued when it was taking on a darker twist than the original. I think this series was really good, it's the first series in ages that i found myself binging watching episodes - it was the perfect amount of creepy and weird without being too scary (I'm a wimp!) and i think it's the perfect nod to the original still maintaining lots of the original characters whilst still being a unique show in it's own right. The only thing that i found a little disappointing was that Salem didn't speak and didn't play as big of a role as he did in the original.

Chalet Girl
Me and my friend stuck this film on whilst we was getting ready for Halloween - I've seen this film numerous times before, it's a cute rom com and it's so easy to watch.

Leap Year
I wasn't sure what to expect from this film but i enjoyed it a lot more than i expected too. It follows Anna who travels to Dublin to propose to her boyfriend on Leap Day. She faces a massive setback when bad weather threatens her trip, but with the help of an innkeeper they travel cross country to get her engaged. You don't need a crystal ball to tell you how this is going to end, but it was a really cute, feel good rom com and i really enjoyed it.

Christmas Inheritance
I'm a big sucker for Christmas Movies; around this time of year my days off work are spent with me binging Christmas movies on Christmas24 and i love it. They're cheesy and predictable but i love them and this one was no different. It follows a spoilt party heiress who is sent on a business trip to deliver a special Christmas Card to her Dad's former partner in her hometown, that she never knew.

Holiday Joy
This is another Christmas Movie - I've been watching a lot of these lately and i love that Netflix has so many on there. This one follows a teen who falls and bumps her head but when she wakes, she finally gets to experience being a part of the perfect family that live next door. This wasn't my favourite Christmas movie I've watched so far, it was okay and easy to watch but i just think they're so many others that are better than this one.

Christmas Prince
Yep. Another Christmas Movie - a young journalist is sent abroad on her first job to get the scoop on the mysterious and rebellious Prince of Aldovia. Whilst snooping round the palace she is mistaken as the young Princess's new tutor and takes this opportunity be undercover and get the inside scoop. Again, the story is quite predictable which is typical of these kind of movies but they're so cute and unrealistic and i just enjoy watching them anyways.

What have you been watching recently? Any recommendations?
